Snow Day

Well, it's happened again for the [insert single digit]th time - Snow in Nashville!

Postponing work on my Confucius essay, I went outside on Sunday afternoon and played in the snow. I'm a southern child - you know, one of those that refers to the phenomenon as, "Look, it's raining snow!!" - so the fact that I love romping around in it is no real surprise.

A friend of mine came by on her early way to juggling rehearsals. I said, You know this looks like so much fun and you really want to join me. She said, Hmm... It is very tempting...

And then we built a lovely homage to Calvin and Hobbes:

Before hand, I'd also worked on one alone. Might have looked better from a different angle.

My camera ran out of batteries before I could get a photo further back, but it looked like Snow-Godzilla on one side and Jaws x2 on the other of our little snowmen population. It was delightful. Today, of course, it all just looks more or less like abstract snow art. But we delighted in it.
