Let There Be Light! Lots Of It! And over in that corner too, I like to study there in the evenings.

If God created Earth and the Heavens in six days as you say... why did It do it in temporal accordance to some puny little star thirty thousand light years on the outer arm from the center of a galaxy comparatively insignificant to the other millions of billions of galaxies in the "known" universe?

Humans. We're so silly. We really do think the entire universe revolves around us.

(I have been listening to the "Galaxy Song" from Monty Python's The Meaning of Life.)

"On the fifth day, God made--" Look, bugger all that for just a moment. God has the entire stonking universe to create, so all I'm curious to know is why It would spend that long molding and weaving life on this one small dirt speck when there is clearly a greater agenda to get on with.

In no way does God necessarily go by or is confined by the same sense of time that we are. But if that's the case, I don't see how it would make sense, either, for Ye Goode Olde Texts to say that God created Earth and the Heavens in six days.

→ What is the significance of being so specific about it?

I do greatly believe in a creator, God to be specific. But I do again agree with you here. I don't think that humans are alone in the universe or that evolution had nothing to do with it. No one has all the answers, but I think that's part of the whole idea: We're not supposed to. It leaves us things to question and ponder so we don't become bored with and accept our lives so easily... Well, those of us with half a brain don't. :) As I know you have..
