I got this article from a friend who posted it in his FB posted items. As he put it excellently,

"For all premeds out there... Does this reality match your dreams?"

As a note on the side, I will never, ever be thankful enough that I have parents who, though both are M.D.'s and had pushed for medical school all along, did NOT disown or frown severely upon me for splitting from the pre-med path and taking a major in which I actually have interest. Thank you, Mum and Dad, for giving me the freedom of choice.
