Why do I have friends who seem to insist on an instant increase in physical contact when they are clearly, obviously, coughingly, sniffingly, bleary-eyedly sick?!
I have to admit this is really a pet peeve of mine. I'm not some total germaphobe, but I am aware of it. You may be dear to me, but for christ's sake, please stop draping over me in a hug, firing your coughs straight onto me like I'm a fortress besieged, and patting my arms/hands/shoulders emphatically and significantly during conversation more than you ever usually do (with the hands that you just used to blow and wipe your nose with tissue!). No! No! Just stop it! You are earning no buddy points!!
