Hot Saltine

Nothing new, just blog procrastinating while I eat hot sauce on saltine crackers and drink green tea and work on my General Logic take-home final, yes I kid you not I am eating plain hot sauce on saltine crackers.

MMMMM, SALTINE.

I was raised as a child to eat everything on my plate. I really hate wasting anything, food especially. I remember being slightly grumpier than usual one night when I was about 5-6 years old and refusing to eat the last bit of my food. My mother threatened that if I didn't finish the last bit, she'd just go throw it straight in the trash can. Even as a child, I hated wasting so much that I nearly broke out in a bawl that instant, grabbed my bowl and finished it without a further word or complaint. Anything's better than wasting perfectly good food! (And before you file complaints of child abuse against my parents, I really was just grumpy and it really was barely more a few bites).

... This doesn't (or shouldn't) apply to this entire pack of saltine crackers and hot sauce, it's just a memory. But if anyone is reading this, please send help and take these away from me. Criminy, I hate exam time. On top of everything else... so much weight gain.

This is definitely a "just add butter" moment. The only thing that makes hot sauce and saltines yummier is butter. I don't know why. It's just a thing.
Also, that qualifies as a real snack. While I have things like pasta sauce, cereal, eggs, and cheese dip. Nothing to put in the eggs (unless my rosemary has survived this horrendous weather but I doubt it), no chips for the dip, no milk for the cereal, and actually way too much pasta for the pasta sauce. Don't you just hate this time of year?
P.S. Good luck with your finals. I'm 5 down, 2 remaining (it's not as bad as it sounds. We had three finals before Thanksgiving- don't ask, vet school is weird like that).

Haha, I haven't got any butter, but I think I probably don't need to be eating any anyway. True, though, I suppose it is at least snack-y enough for the current necessity.

Good luck with your finals too, sounds like you're pretty close to the last stretch. Wir schaffen's, we'll make it!
