Happy 200th Birthday, Chopin!!!
I've been enjoying an entire day of purely Chopin ballades, waltzes, concertos, polonaises, and all sorts of other delights that he composed. Chopin is hands-down on my top list of favorite composers. I could listen to Chopin all day. (Obviously). Often I wonder if he had lived longer than his relatively short 39 years, what brilliant things yet would he have produced?? (It's the same with Mozart, who only lived for an even shorter 35 years.) My heart sings, yes, my heart sings in the musical language of Chopin.
Oh, what else could have come after year 39?! Curse his lifelong sickliness!
