[Origami] - The First Post

When I was somewhere between the ages of 7-9, my oldest aunt got me this, The Great Origami Book, for Christmas one year. At first, I didn't look into it much, though I thought it was kind of interesting, and it was something that I had never really seen before in my life. My mother knew a model or two from childhood and had shown me some time, and that was it.

A year or two passed. Then one day, I sat down with that book and tried my hand at it.

And from that point in my life, I suddenly launched into a huge fascination for origami. Even more so, I suddenly find that I've now been folding paper for, give or take a few years, over a decade now.

More years have passed in which I've shown my origami to dozens and dozens of acquaintances, who usually find these paper figurines at least pretty nifty, if not absolutely fascinating. This has eventually led to requests of, "Do you have a website or photo album where you put these, so I could (go look at them/show them to my mother/brother/sister/friend/nephew/dog/third cousin, etc.)?"

Aaanyway... in agreement to the aforementioned people in my life, I've decided to start posting up some origami that I've done in the past, as well as anything new that shows up (time permitting at the moment...)

With that said, there's a papercraft post soon to follow.
